Leah is an illustrator and painter who uses both traditional and digital mediums to explore themes of nature, connection, exploration, and community.

 

In 2023, she graduated with honors from UNC Pembroke with a BA in Studio Art. Although she was born in Kansas, she had grown up frequently bouncing around between a few different states. Her strong interest in children's book illustration stems from her life-long passion for art and literature, which were steady companions during her childhood. Even now, she feels great love towards the fantastical worlds that are created within her favorite books, tv shows, and movies. She hopes to use her own art as a tool for whimsical storytelling that inspires creativity, joy, and introspection.

She has even written, illustrated, and self-published her own debut children's book called, Blank Canvas. This book has been available on Amazon as of April 2023.
